There is an issue with using the text palette. When dragging the Staff Text option onto the score, the no placement red sign blocks out the cursor making finding the correct note much more time consuming than it needs to be. It's not a pressing matter, but a frustrating one.

Workaround No ⇒ Yes

Rather than dragging the text, select the note or rest and double click the item in the palette.

There has been discussion about this the past few days among developers so I think there will be improvement in the near future.
