Single measures spanning several staves
Hi, everyone,
I have a file I'm working on that keeps throwing single measures across the whole page. I'm on a Mac and have tried selecting the measure (or the measure plus several around it), holding the shift key and then typing the bracket key to get {, but the measures that are stretched remain stretched across the entire page. I've looked around on the Musescore website and still can't seem to find how to fix it. Any helpful suggestions are really appreciated.

I see no measure that spans more than one stave (I assume you actually mean "system"). However, there are line breaks (the grey bent arrows in a box above the top stave at the right hand end of the line) that are causing single measures to occupy a whole line. Try deleting them

You have "new system" line breaks which need to be removed. Blue symbol at the end of the systems...

It's gray by default, you probably did what I did when they silently changed it and made it blue again.
