This issue goes back to MS 2.3.2 and before. Under certain conditons, voice 1 notes are wrongly entered in voice 2:
- In an empty measure, enter a "Bass drum 1" note (using the shortcut "B" or by clicking "Bass drum 1" in the Drum Input Palette (DIP), then clicking on the staff).
- Click on "Acoustic snare" in the DIP.
- Click on the first beat of the measure.
Result: Note is entered in the correct voice (1).
- Repeat steps 1 and 2.
- Move the cursor back one step with the left arrow key.
- Click on the first beat of the measure.
Result: Note is entered in the wrong voice (2).
Comments
How is this different from #300160: Drum palette: clicking on staff sometimes enters note in wrong voice?
This has nothing to do with the new 3.4 behavior, as it has been this way for a long time.
Indeed it's a duplicate.
This issue no longer applies to MS 3.4 because of changes to the UI. Should it be marked "closed"?
