I have been trying to get rid of the measure numbers where I put in rehearsal marks according to said number. I have since figured out how to do that, thanks to another page on this forum. However, if I then create new parts, the measure numbers are still there. How do I get the "never show measure number" from the measure properties to be applied to the parts?
I realize this is probably minor severity, not major severity, but it feels major to me and is seriously bothering me.

It's true, the "measure number mode" property is not linked, so if you set it to always hide in the code, it does not reflect in parts, regardless of whether you set this before or after generating parts.
Workaround is of course to do this in the parts manually (or just make them invisible, which is easier).
Question is: should the measure number mode be linked?
I don't think so. The measure number itself is content and should be linked (and is) but whether or when it shows is layout ans as such should not be linked
So actually the observed behavior is by design

Question is: should MuseScore decide what is linked or not, or should the user be able to link things yes/no at program level, and then possibly overriding the program level at score level?
linked or not is currently hard coded, but indeed it would be nice to be able to change this on demand. Has been requested elsewhere.
As long as it isn't, we'd rather stay on the conservative side, link everything we consider content and not link everything we consider layout.
