I am looking for a way of hiding staff lines in only parts or measures of the staff. There are have been some requests for this.

It seems to me that Invisible Staff Lines and Staff Line Color are the only two visual properties left to be moved from Staff Properties to Staff Type, so they can be used for Staff Type Changes.

Comments

I'm thinking after this PR that the [ ] Cutaway property could also migrate. It would be useful to turn Cutaway on and off in portions of a score.

(Of course none of these migrations remove the property from Edit Staff dialog - it's just them being assimilated to the Staff Type model so they can change mid-score)

Any chance for this PR to be merged for 3.6?
I'm doing a project which requires an alternance between staves and empty spaces and I would find this feature very handy :)
