In #298080: [Musicxml Export] - Let Ring Not Exported, hhpmusic requested to have the Let it ring or Laissez Vibrer to have musicxml export capability. I haven't tested this to ensure it works correctly yet, but the symbol lacks an accurate visual representation we expect when we see a L.V. at the end of a note. There needs to be a way to add the L.V. that looks like a tie where no grace note after or invisible real note is required to make it look right and the can be true L.V. exported to musicxml.
After discussing this with hhpmusic, he reminded me that the symbol is only applied to an entire chord and the tie needs to be attached to each note of a chord.

What is the required number to set "many" instead of "few"?
many is greater than 5
Looks like we're there.
One thing I noticed about the l.v. symbol is that it doesn't go to the correct location. Instead of hanging off of the note like a tie or slur, it defaults to the top (or bottom) of the note like a fermata. l.v. in wrong place.pdf
Also, as far as I can tell, there are no handles on the ends, so you can't easily change the size if you want it larger.
As I worked with lots of scores, currently only adding a hidden grace chord to yield a set of hanging ties work fine, but not a real l.v. tie with accurate braille output. Also, this hanging tie has another direction called tied-into, with only a tie type of stop in Musicxml. Sibelius now supports both kinds of tie, both on single note and chord.

I think I remember using a let ring symbol that looks like a tie in MuseScore3 but I can't find it in the palettes in MuseScore4
Probably a slur rather than a tie
