I cannot know it, but maybe it's related in a certain way (another aspect of ?) with this known issue ? #279803: In lute tablature the dots don't appear on dotted half-notes in print-outs
This is still happening? It happens constantly for me, it's really a hassle.
It seems to only be an issue in "full" mode, but perhaps not many users select that mode, due to the strange half note notation. But since it's the only tablature mode with rests, it's sort of the least bad option for me.
Hi ! I think I have the same. I'm really new to musescore, passed a day or two to write a bossa nova, displaying both tab and normal staff, and the dot often doesn't disappear when I uncheck the icon in the toolbar (not always, but very often). The workaround is to zoom, select each dot of each note of the chord, and press "suppr" on the keyboard... very annoying !
It's happening to me as well, using full tab mode for 6-string guitar. I would remove the dot on a standard staff but then a linked tab staff would fail to delete the dots.

Also, it happens to all the notes in a chord when there's a chord.
See also https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/13047 for the corresponding issue for MuseScore 4. Looks like it is being prioritized for a possible fix.
