Default Articulation Placement, Specific Case (Linux 3.x Nightly 10/20)
Look at the accent below the C# chord:
I was expecting it to spawn above the chord automatically like any other times, but it does so perhaps because of this specific measure's way of connecting the 2 staves. Same happens with other articulation, maybe with other symbols too like lines, text and such but maybe those matter less.

They all (seem to) follow stem direction (or voice?). You don't seem to want that in this particular case: select, press X

Oh by the way, changing articulation placement (Above/Below) solves nothing: the articulations themselves change but not their position. Are they supposed to do that?

Now that I analyzed the gif more carefully I realized it's not it: in their gif, the staccato moves position, but in my case the articulation won't move.
