Why are you "stuck" with a pickup? Can you post the score or at least a condensed version of it?

It turns into a tied eighth ... I don't know how to post the score...help Thanks. Last night a very good tutorial appeared with a voice explaining how to add words, change score, etc. I don't know how to get it back so I can take notes. I thought I moved it to the side of the computer.....I am old, so don't learn and remember easily..........
