I have been trying to copy some jump directives from one measure to another. I am doing this because I want them somewhere else and I don't want to drag them, which would not move their 'anchor' point. While I get no message, they do not paste. I have tried with both the measure selected and a single note. The ones I have tried are D.S. al Coda; the signe sign; To [coda sign]; and the coda sign.

Comments

Ctrl+Shift+drag performs a "clone" operation, which is different from a normal copy/paste, and for me it works. Be sure to drop only when the target measure is highlighted, same as if you were dropping from the palette. If you have a particular score where this seems not to work, please attach it so we can investigate.

Marc, this was user error and can be closed. I did not realize that I needed to select the 'target' measure before starting the drag. (Possibly a documentation clarification would be a good idea, though). I assumed that I could select the element, cmd-shft-drag it, and drop it on the [unselected] target measure. (No UI or functionality improvement is requested.)
