Attached, find a score where splitting a bar using the Tools menu creates new beams spontaneously. I've indicated the note in the left hand manual where I notice the problem, which occurs 100%.
Sometimes undoing the bar split causes MuseScore to crash.

Removing the unexpected beams using delete works most of the time.
After saving the score after splitting the measure and reloading the score again, the issue seems to be gone indeed. So splitting the measure messes up the internal representation of the score but the saved score seems clean.
So far no luck to figure out what's really happening.
