This is a "convenience feature for integrating with further processing in other programs."

Issue: "Switching instrument" switches instruments while maintaining the same track. However, most DAWs will display it as one track. To use different VSTs or effects for each instrument, the user has to manually split the midi into multiple parts.

Suggestion: When rendering midi, Musescore can have the option to "split midi tracks when instrument changed." This way, ALL DAWs will now recognize different tracks for each instrument making someone's life x1000 easier. Again, this is not a feature for only Musescore but rather for the integration with other DAWs or audio programs.

The attached image just shows how a single midi track with multiple "Switch instruments" has to be manually split into multiple tracks. The option to render separate midi files would be very time-efficient.
