the line after "8va" disppeared

Just like what the titles suggests, the line after the text "8va" disappeared, I tried reopening the software but it doesn't work. Although the line is missing, when it plays, it still plays an octave higher

I don't see any octave markings at all in the score you attached - are you sure you attached the correct copy of the file?

Anyhow, I tried adding an octave mark to the last measure with notes, to reproduce what I see in the first image you attached. indeed, the line is not visible. Not sure how this happened, but the line style seems to be set to an invalid value - see Format / Style / Ottava. Something is very strange about this score - was it created an unusual way, like imported from another file format, or maybe created in a "beta" version of an earlier release? Or were you editing the MSCX file by hand, or otherwise doing something unusual?

It seems you can fix it by hitting the "reset" button next to that control in the style dialog and hitting OK. You can then change it to whatever else you want.
