IMV, it would be useful to have vertically-extensible "system-style" brackets and braces that could be attached to notes/rests. One use might be to tie together cutaway ossia sections. e.g.

This could be also be useful to create miscellaneous brackets within measures for things like indicating LH/RH in piano music, without needing to 'abuse" the arpeggio bracket for this (which doesn't come in a matched closed version anyhow).
But for the brace on ossia, I think this shouldn't even require manual sizing, there should just be an option to add or remove braces automatically. There have been other requests for features involving things like how braces are handled at the beginning of systems that include separate "ambitus" measures, or exercises separated by frames. Somehow these should be looked together an a cherent plan to cover all of those those cases devised.
