Tempo in the inspector

• Dec 18, 2021 - 23:32

Hi, gang!!!
I use MuseScore 3.6.2 Portable AppImage inside a computer with Ubuntu Studio 20.04.3 LTS (64 bit Linux).
Since a while I wonder about the fact the "Tempo" box in the "Inspector" panel, when we are editing the piece tempo, just shows the quarter notes values.
I mean, if we use a 6/8 rhythm structure, it is supposed that the main "bit" per bar is the eighth note (6/8 means 6 eighth notes per bar), and if we want to have 100 eighth notes per minute, we would expect to see in the "Tempo" box that value: 100. But... That box in the inspector doesn't show the eighth note time value. The box always shows the quarter note time value, only.
To be clear, please, see the sample in the attached file. The tempo is because the time synchronization with the related instrumental track (which was recorded with human real players).
You can clearly see the expected tempo is 170.7 eighth notes per minute. But, the "Tempo" box shows the value: 85.35, which is the amount of quarter notes per minute (even the fact that the piece rhythm structure is 6/8).
So...
Is this something about some universal standard I don' know?
Is this some kind of "bug"?
Is this something "by default" because some specific reason?
Is there some way to change this? How?
Blessings and Greeting from Chile!!!

JUAN

Interestingly enough, when I open this score on Windows, the tempo marking is dotted quarter = 56.90.

85.35 in the inspector.
