Voice 3 notehead flips around, 'attracted' bij voice 2 note

• Feb 4, 2022 - 22:40

Love Musescore. But sometimes I create a problem. Apologies if this was discussed before, I did not find it here.
See also the 'Noteflip.mscz' in the file information section of this message.

I would like to copy this (from a scanned sheet) into Musescore. I need three voices here to accommodate the extra eighth-plus-quarter notes in the end of the measure:

With that eighth note stem up in voice 3, I can shift it away from the quarter in voice 2 (exaggerated here):

But with it stem down, the note head flips to the left and sticks to the voice 2 quarter.

With more different pitch (higher or lower), it's ok. But with such close pitch, the flipping occurs.
Switching voices around, or using 2 and 4, or other combinations, don't seem to work.
I already tried disabling 'automatic placement' for all these notes, but that does not seem to help.

What am I missing here? Thanks for any hints!~

Generally it's best to attach the actual score instead of just pictures, then we don't have to guess at which is happening. But as it is, my guess is, the downstem F naturally is flipped to the opposite side of the stem to avoid a collision with the downstem G as per standard rules of notation, so you'd need to use Shift+X to force it to the "wrong" (two wrongs make a right here!) side.
