Update to 3.6.5 rather then using the outdated 3.5.0. At least update to 3.5.2... (in case you just don't like Ediwn/Leland and the other layout improvements)
3.6.2 does play the repeats for sure
For some stran reason it doesn't give any sound though, is that just me?
It does though if I 'change' instrument to piano, so maybe some non-default soundfont was used by you?
Be sure you didn't turn off the repeats button on the toolbar.
