Does this count as a known bug in musescore then? I know that, after importing, you can right-click on the staff, select staff/part properties, and change the lines to 5 and you're good.

Tux Guitar generates files containing a G clef, staff tuning and string/fret info for all notes. The G clef causes this to be imported as a regular staff. Proposed solution is to import as a TAB staff in this case, as the regular staff loses the fret information.
