stem direction in tablature: v3 vs v4
I just downloaded v4 and opened a bass guitar tab I made in v3. In v4 the stems always point down, even when the note is on the lower strings. In v3, the direction made more sense. Are the new stem directions correct? Attached are screen grabs from each.

Hard to say what is going on from just pictures - attaching the actual score is better - but the norm in most of the tab styles is indeed stems down, just as it was in MuseScore 3. Did you go out of your way to change individual stems in MuseScore 3? If so, I'd consider it a bug if this customization wasn't honored.

Thanks for the reply. I did not customize the stems in the v3 version.
Yes, most tab formats are stems down, but I always preferred MuseScore's way of mixing it up, as with standard notation.

The default in MU3 is also stems down, at least in the "common" style. I guess maybe you changed to the "full" style? I can confirm that Mu3 apparently mixed stems in that mode, but MU4 does not. I am not sure if that was a deliberate change or not. Let's see what others say about this.

Yes, I always use "full" tab style, partly because it looks more like standard notation.
