I can't open a score
When I try to open the score, a window appears saying "This score is invalid". Do you know why?

We need the actual score file. And if you are using MU4 or version 3

To upload it, I have to download it. I haven't the file of the score on my pc, and I can't download it. So, I can't upload it.

Folders where you can search for musescore files (Windows) if you did not save one:
- C:\Users{YourUserAccount}\AppData\Local\MuseScore\MuseScore4
- C:\Users{YourUserAccount}\AppData\Local\MuseScore\MuseScore4\cloud_scores
- C:\Users{YourUserAccount}\AppData\Local\MuseScore\MuseScore4\cloud_scores\ .mscbackup
- C:\Users{YourUserAccount}\Documents\MuseScore4\Scores
- C:\Users{YourUserAccount}\Documents\MuseScore4\Scores\ .mscbackup
- C:\Users{YourUserAccount}\Documents\MuseScore4\Cloud Scores

Hi, thank you so much, I followed this procedure, and here are TWO invalid scores (it was originally just one where I was having the problem, I don't know why they are two).

Yes, I'm using 4.1.1 version, but when I try to open the same file it's invalid.

They open fine for me too, MuseScore 4.1.1, Windows 11

See if you can move (or copy) them to a different location - like the desktop - from which to open.

i tried the suggestion to move it to the desktop... now musescore wont launch again. i had to re-install it again today to get it to open. seems to only work a few times on a fresh install and then.. nothing

Great any idea why musescore wont even start after a few openings after a fresh install every time? Today trying to open this file triggered it and i can't open that file.

Opens fine for me on Windows 10, Musescore 4.1.1
Maybe something is wrong with your configuration. Try to unzip file (mscz is just zip archive with mscz extension), you need file not_uploaded_0.mscx, copy this file to another location and try to open it.

That’s great but I can’t. And no one seems to be able to answer my question as to why and… why musescore refuses to launch after a few openings ever time I try and use it!

it might open if the app would start! i get the blue screen for a second and it goes away.. musescore wont open neither from the hub nor the desktop link
