Navigator crash after closing all tabs (0.9.6 regression)

Start MuseScore with the default score, press the x on the current score tab, than click the bottom preview pane and see that you get a crash.
Also, its interesting that if you hit the x and close all score tabs, the preview pane at the bottom or whatever its called still shows the preview....

Confirmed using r. 2609 nightly, Windows XP. Bug not present in earlier versions of MuseScore.

The preview pane no longer shows the previous score but MuseScore still crashes for me when I click on the navigator
