Beam distance (for sixteenths etc) not adjusted for staff size

1) score with sixteenths
2) right cick staff
3) staff properties
4) change staff scaling, or use "small" option

Result: distance between beams not adjusted. When making staff smaller, this results in beams too widely spaced. When making staff larger, this results in beams overlapping.
