I'm using the Jazz Lead Sheet style. When I Export to PDF, the font size of the chord names in the output file is much smaller then in the Musescore desktop

Which version of MuseScore, what operating system? Can you share a score and the PDF to show the Problem?
If MuseScore 2.0 Beta 2 or a later nightly build and Windows, thos is probably a duplicate vor St least closely related to #41981: All spanners with wavy lines and dynamics marks are failing when exported in PDF format, and the same workaround, to use a PDF printer, would apply
If MuseScore 2.0 Beta 1, it may be a duplicate of #40646: [Windows] Exported PDF displays small symbols on Qt 5.4.0 and would be fixed (well, improved at least) in Beta 2

I tried the print-to-pdf route before posting this.
I'm using Acrobat XI 11.0.10
It errored out and created the following in a log file:

-------------------------------------------------------------
%%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%
MScore not found, using Courier.
MuseJazz-Medium not found, using Courier.
%%[ Error: invalidfont; OffendingCommand: show ]%%

%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

Looks like Acrobat couldn't find a font?

The only thing that worked for me was to output to .png.

I don't know much about Acrobat, but suspect it needs all fonts to be actually installed, which won't be the case with MuseScore's fonts. So instead of Acrobat, you want a PDF print driver like PDF Creator. These work well for the purpose (and others too).
