Working on score/parts for an elementary concert band piece. Would like to create a percussion II part with hi-hat, cow bell and vibraslap. I see that General MIDI mapping would include all those instruments but I am at a loss to sort out sound fonts, drum set files, etc. I'd be most grateful if someone could post step-by-step guidance.
See the Handbook under "Drum notation" to learn how to set up a custom drumset definition for your score.

Can someone download https://sites.google.com/site/mhsbulldogdrumline/composition that and send it to me, for some reason I can't download it, if you could download that soundfont and send it directly to me, I would be very grateful, my email is stackhouseza@eastnoble.net
That SoundFont actually won't work on MS 2.0 (unless your using a version before that).
