Overture Conversion
Hello,
I am a budding high school composer that uses MuseScore to fiddle around and write peices for clarinet, piano, and choir. When I go to open a file in MuseScore, I notice that the default setting for displaying files is All Supported Files, which includes .ove, which I am assuming is Overture. However, when I try to open an Overture file, MuseScore displays a loading screen then promptly crashes. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug in 0.9.6.3?
Thanks in advance,
Jordan

Can you attach this file or include a link to this file?
MuseScore should be able to open Overture file but a couple of users have reported non reproductible crashes : #7764: 0.9.6.3 crashes when open ove file [windows]
Overture peices cannot be attatched to a post. Any other suggestion?
jdawgg_1, you can zip compress the overture pieces and attach the zip file.
.ove files are now allowed as attachment.
Currently there are some big changes in core data structure of musescore, and there are several known issues in overture conversion, I'll fix them when core data structure is stable.
ove import conversion update in rev.3763, that means you can use it in upcoming nightly.

Anything that can be done to prevent the crashes in the branch? as reported here : #7764: 0.9.6.3 crashes when open ove file [windows]
are there still any crashes?
with windows nightly 3775, there is no crash for all files under [testoves] on my Vista english 32bit computer.
A patch has been commited in the branch at r3807
