I tested it with now with version 1.2 5470, same behaviour. Here a little screen-capture, this explains it much more.
I also created a completely new file and tested it with it, same behaviour as in my big file (2 sheets full of music).

@ChurchOrganist: I use QT 4.8.0, what are your version? Might be that this is the problem?

Thanks - I could reproduce.

1. Open attached score.
2. Right-click volta.
3. 'Line Properties'.
4. Untick 'Hook'.
5. 'OK'.
6. 'Save'.
7. 'Close'.
8. Re-open score.
9. Right-click volta.
10. 'Line Properties'.

Result: Hook is ticked.

Using MuseScore 1.2 - Mac 10.7.3.

Is anything else effected?

It's different in the trunk (5497) though - I can't find 'Line Properties'. Can anyone else?

Status (old) needs info ⇒ fixed

On investigation this has been fixed by providing an open ended 2nd time volta as well as a hooked one.

Marking as fixed.
