ok well when i'm trying to place dynamics in a certain spot the symbol for that dynamic level is like way to far from the mouse pointer and it's really aggravating when i have to keep moving it and it's really time consuming
What version of MuseScore are you using? What operating system are you using? Please give step-by-step instructions for others to reproduce the problem. What do you mean by "way to far from the mouse pointer"? How far away is it?
i have the new musescore (1.0) i have windows xp a step by step instructions...ok well you click the dynamic level you want and drag it to the desired note for where you want it to take place and usually it puts it there well when you drag the dynamic on mine its like not with the mouse pointer so when i drop it at the desired note its usually in the staff instead of under it like it's supposed to do and this started about a week after i downloaded the new musescore about 3 weeks ago if you want i'll attach an example of what i mean by all of this
i get the dynamic markings from the palette...which is in display>palette>dynamics the distance from the mouse pointer...in a concert band pre-made score at 100 and 150% zoom it varies from about 3 to 7 mm (i took a ruler and measured it to be exact)
Maybe you could at least post a mscz file and a screen shot showing how it looks on your computer?
Also, drag and drop is a pretty inefficient way to enter dynamics in the first place. What happens if you click the note then double click the dynamic in the palette? That should place the dynamic well automatically (although I think it's a little low, and unfortunately, changing the default in the Style setting doesn't seem to work - but that bug has already been reported).
wait nevermind i think my problem is solved...i redownloaded musescore into a different place (long story as of why) and now everything seems to be fine...but now i have to download a soundfont...crap oh well i know how to do that but thanks for the help

See How to write a good bug report for further instructions.

How far away is it from the mouse pointer? Where are you getting the dynamic marking from?
For comparison see http://dl.dropbox.com/u/892408/musescore/drag-dynamic.theora.ogv

Then I'm not able to reproduce. As you can see in the video. The dynamic marking is not a distance away from the mouse pointer.
well i guess i'll just have to deal with it
