[GP6] Nylon guitar imported with the piano sound
28303e0 / Windows7
1) Load this file, a GP5 format: Menuet Rondeau.gp5
As expected, you hear the guitar midi sound.
In the mixer:
2) Load the same file, but in .gpx format: Menuet Rondeau.gpx
Expected: the same as GP5 format
Result, unexpected : you hear the piano midi sound.
In the mixer:
By consistency between the differents formats of GP (gpx, gp5, gp4 etc.), and by logic (we talk about Guitar, Guitar Pro as it happens, not about Piano), it would be good to change this.
Comments
Nylon guitar is not recognized by the GP6 importer. It only recognize an handful of instruments. It would be very helpful if someone with GP6 could create a score for each instrument provided by GP6 or one score with most of the instruments so we can map the magic key from GP6 with the magic key from instruments.xml.
See the following link for the currently supported instruments https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/blob/d474f719b7c520b8e19e2fc62ec…
I created an issue for this #98786: [GP6] better mapping between GP instruments and MuseScore instruments and I will fix the Nylon guitar issue.
