lasconic said if I could explain how to make the cursor disappear off the screen he would fix it. Here is one way with pictures.

1. Cursor disappears on the left side of the screen
steps to reproduce
a. Make a line of music such as this so there are several measures of notes before the cursor and at least a partial measure visible after the notes, like this

Set up for left vanish.png

b. The instrument is not important, just that there are several measures of notes so you can use the keyboard to enter a few notes so that it looks like this after the screen automatically jumps. (You may have to enter more notes to make the screen jump)
after adding a few notes.png

c. Use the backspace button at least 3 times to delete all of the notes entered that caused the screen jump then delete one or 2 more notes so they are visible on the screen. Notice the blue cursor is no longer visible. Keep deleting notes, the cursor will not reappear no matter how many notes are deleted.
after deleting 3 notes.png

This applies to both 2.0.3 and 2.1

Coming up when I get a few more minutes: "Making the blue cursor disappear to the right side of the screen"

The latest 2.1 works fine in the scenarios I gave. I'm using 2.1 except to help others in the forums so I'll see how it works in day to day practice.
