[regression] some articulations are placed incorrectly far from the note

A regression was introduced quite recently, first appearing for me in the 3b3d98e nightly AppImage, whereby some articulations, including the accent, staccatissimo, accent-staccato, and possibly others are placed too far from up-stem notes, as you can see here:

Reproducing this is as easy as adding some stems-up notes to a new project and adding an accent to one of the notes. Adding an accent to a second note will cause the accent position of the previously entered accent to change.

The previous nightly, 73bb933 does not have this problem. The bug is present in the 3.1.0 RC.
