MuseScore Refuses to Open on My Laptop and I Can't Find Out Why
I don't know why this happened. MuseScore worked absolutely fine on my old laptop, and now it refuses to open at all since I got my new laptop. The laptop runs on Windows 10. I try to open MuseScore and the blue, clockwise-moving circle appears next to my cursor as if the app would be opening normally. However, nothing happens after the blue circle disappears. When I run the repair from the setup wizard, it will tell me that MuseScore is open and needs to be closed before the repairs can be made, but my laptop then tells me that the app can't be closed and I have to go with Option B to restart my computer. After I do so, I'm back to square one. I have also tried running the app using the "-F" and "-w" that I saw for similar problems. Is my laptop perhaps incompatible with MuseScore?

MuseScore comes with a couple of sample .mscz and/or .mscx files. Try double clicking one of those to run it. If this works open preferences and disable the start center. The next possibility is https://musescore.org/en/node/278817

That's been tried, via the -w commandline option, so this got to be a different issue, not #278817: Start center crashes MuseScore if there is no Internet connection
As fat as I understand MuseScore starts and runs, just doesn't show on screen.
I suspect it might be the startup wizard that shows on 1st run, esp the telemetry dialog.
Or MuseScore starting up on. 2nd screen that you once had connected, but don't have now?

I tried the suggestion of opening a file, but that still won't allow MuseScore to show up on the screen. I don't know what's going wrong. I'm sorry and I'm just really confused.

Does MuseScore crash on start, or 'just' not show up on screen?
Is it seen in Task Manager?
Maybe this is one of the very few cases where a uninstall, download afresh and install might help?

Have you tried: https://musescore.org/en/node/287862 ?
Or maybe right clic and run as administrator.
Did you see the dialog asking for permission to send telemetry data after starting with "-F"? If not, probably it is appearing offscreen for some reason. Try dismissing it with Enter or Esc.
Have you tried open Task Manager to see if anything unusual seems to be going on? Multiple MuseScore processes perhaps?
