OS: Windows 7 SP 1 (6.1), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.6.0, revision: fc50932
When importing 2.x score in v3.5.2 (or earlier), the 'Reset Positions Dialog' is displayed :
In the last Dev Build, this dialog has been replaced by the 'Improved Style Dialog' :
But nothing ask the user if he want to 'reset positions of all elements'
Therefore in Preferences -> Import the choice to ask or not to reset elements is still present :
Expected behavior:
- In case of importing a 2.x score, the message, choice, and fonctionality of the previous 'Reset all positions' dialog should be integrated in the new 'Improved style' dialog.
Fix version
3.6.0
Comments
I agree.
Also the part "This score has been created with MuseScore x.y.z" should get reinstated
IMV, the new dialog is misleading as it gives the impression that resetting is a magic bullet. To take one example: if you are importing a 2.x guitar score with many custom fingerings and lines, the last thing you want is a full reset.
Suggestion: Make the wording of the dialog more neutral and to the point.
Oops.

Edit:
OS: Windows 7 SP 1 (6.1), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.6.0, revision: b628449 Self Build
Since the merge of Dialog v2.0 in PR https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/6969
The diaog looks like:
The V2.X scores are detected and the old style could be keep.
Seems issue is fixed.

Opening a 2.x score, even clic on 'Keep old style' Leland and Edwin fonts are applied.
The old style is not keeped.
Please open a new issue for that, as it is unrelated to this here (well, not entirely unrelated)
But I can confirm that other settings are getting changed too, like for 3.5 scores, even when denying the new settings

Ok, will do.
Thanks for #313876: Opening a 2.x score in 3.6 and choose 'Keep old style' does not keep the style. ;-)
