Fatal Error in XML
I'm trying to open an XML file but keep getting "Fatal error: line 49 column 31 Element midi-instrument is not defined in this scope." I've opened it in Notepad, but I truly don't understand the error.
If I tell it to open it anyway, it cuts off the right potion of the sheet music. I'll try to attach a screenshot showing that.
I'm not sure what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok ignore the part about it cutting off the right part of the page. It was just enlarged, I guess. But it does still have the error.

It seems that NoteWorthy Composer (where this file comes from) uses less than the minimum of the part-definition expected by MuseScore. I believe MuseScore expects there to be a
part-name
tag before that within thescore-part
.You can safely ignore this warning and the resulting score will be completely fine.
You'd have to contact NWC to have them update their MusicXML output to adhere to the standard.

Thank you! I was so confused. I haven't used Musescore ( or any other notation software) much, so I'm not really familiar with how it all works. Thanks for your help!
