Importing midi or kar file into musescore player for ipad

• Oct 29, 2022 - 17:54

Excuse my ignorance. Can somebody explain to me how do I import a midi or kar file into musescore player for ipad, so that I can play it.

Here is what I did for now:
I sent an email to myself with one kar file (from my pc)
The only thing that ipad allows me to do with that file is to download it (so it is in downloads folder on my ipad)
How do I open or import that file into my musescore player app on my ipad?
Basically, I want to create my own sets.

Thanks in advance,
Vlad

Thank you very much...but that is where my confusion is...I managed to download the midi file to my IPad (it is under downloads folder). I cannot seem to find a way to import (move) that file to Musescore player.

Any chance you can explain to me step by step?

Best regards,

Vlad

As far as I know, you can't do that. You need to follow the steps as Jojo described them - first you need to download the file onto your computer (not your iPad) and then load it into the MuseScore notation program there, and save it. The resulting file will have the extension MSCZ, not MIDI. Then you can load the MSCZ file into the iPad app.
