Instrumentation shows up OK in Page View but not in Continuous view. Using a Brass Band Score and Revision: OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.0, revision: 097d606

If the page for page layout is too short to display all of the instruments, they are not shown in continuous view. The workaround is to make your page view page large enough to show the entire score. When you're ready for page view, switch the page size back accordingly.

After further thought, perhaps this is not the same as the other issue. There are two issues with continuous view.

  1. The instruments name are not shown at the beginning of the score
  2. If there are more instruments than can be shown in page view, the staves for those instruments are not shown in continuous view.

This is the first issue, the other is the second.
