Thanks in advance for keeping my file private.

I played with the file a little, but I didn't make it crash. What do you do to crash it?
Many of my files make this beta version crash to...
French version on ubuntu 18.04
The program crashes when doing what (which actions?) exactly with this score?
Please provide precise steps to reproduce.
and sample scores

Well, this score (and the previous too) opens just fine, as you can see, image below.
With Beta version (can you check for you in menu "Help" -> About).
And current revision too. Under Windows 10.

Nevertheless, with the first attached score ("Hollow Knight"), after opening, I get a crash by launching playback.
EDIT: and also by removing instrument in Instruments dialog (eg Piccolo first instrument)
Investigation needed.
Waiting to understand what happens to propose new title.
I get a whole ton of error messages in the debugger console on opening "Hollow Knight", and it took a very long time to load but finally did. It did crash on playback, an assertion failure as we are trying to treat something as a chord that is apparently not a chord.
I'm guessing this file was imported from 2.x using the beta or other early build and then saved. Unfortunately, I think problems were introduced at that point. Would be good to try again with a current build using the original 2.x file. Could you please upload that?
My system :
OS: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.0., revision: 0526317
Many of files crashes when they load...
Sometimes it's better with drad&drop from my file manager...
What I experienced quite frequently I'm the past months and even years is that scores that cause crashes when opening circle file/open do not open at all via drag and drop
I suspect that is because operations involving the file dialogs may involve regenerating thumbnails.
Anyhow, we still would need a 2.x file (not a previously-imported-into-beta-then-saved file) in order to proceed further.

It effectivly crashes when it generate the thumbnail...
So not with drag&drop...
But it crashes with this file with drag&drop to :
only if
useNativeDialogs
is set tofalse
(default on Linux and there only, can get set/unset in the advances settings) the file dialog generates/shows these thumbnails.with useNativeDialogs set to true, no more crashes with the files I can open with drad&drop... thank you !
Gangnam-Style.mscz still crashes (I can open it with musescore 2)
might relate to #154426: crash when switching dir while opening file and/or #140296: Crash on Linux on export to PDF when selecting an existing and sufficiently complicated file on trying to preview it
I test the nightly build :
OS: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.0.19674, revision: baa527a
It opens the file without crash...
So it got fixed after beta 1b it seems
Let's mark as such
