Can you explain in more detail the problem you are having? Those steps still work for me. Can you attach the score you are having trouble with and gives us the precise steps you are following, and tell us exactly what goes wrong?

In beta version of Musescore 3 with the MuseJazz style, zig-zag form doesn't work, a strange line appears and it's impossible to control. After the updating (Musescore 3.0.0.4747) it works good.
