In order to investigate, we need a sample score and precise steps to reproduce the problem.
Musescore ver 3.0.4, revision cda4080 API 301
The attached file bombs when playing, other files seem to be OK,
How might I recover this file?
It opens fine in 3.0.5.
I have reinstalled the version named below.
I have rebooted my MAC
I downloaded the file you said opened OK.
It opens in 3.0.5.21343, revision 58dd23d
but It crashed as per the following crash report.
The file also crashes when run in a Windows system with the latest Musescore
So I guess I am trying to recover that file with some workaround.

Problem in a part. Maybe Flute.
Indeed, some measures (around 60/65) were corrupt in Flute part.
Remove and recreate parts seem fix the issue.
@dmiles695 : Can you check please now with the repaired score: 1 Dreydel fun piano 3-12.mscz
And do you remember anything about the measures involved in the Flute part?
In reply to Indeed, some measures … by cadiz1
Yes, that works.
Great support, Thanks.
I also deleted the instrument flute part and rebuilt it and it works fine also.
Time for another contribution to Musescore.
