Can't use numpad asterisk in keyboard shortcuts.

I'd like to use the asterisk key to add a sharp in note edit mode, but the shortcut key dialog won't let me. (Two squares appear instead of an asterisk, but the asterisk key does nothing.)
The numpad slash and minus key don't work either, but I can use the other slash and minus keys for that.
