1) "My First Score"

2) Change in the toolbar the zoom value, eg 150% (assuming it is not your saved preference), if any,
any other value (200%), or "Two pages", etc.

3) Press Shift + Alt + B (or Ctrl + B) to append measure(s)

Result: nothing happens.

- It works only if:

1) you return first to the defaut zoom value (press Ctrl + 0)

2) more "funny": after the zoom change, if you click one time anywhere on the score, then press Shift + Alt + B (or Ctrl + B)

Comments

Well, I have as a doubt, noting with surprise that the behavior is the same with 2.0.3.

And I noticed another (on 2.0.3, and current nightly)

1) Open "My First Score"
2) Change the zoom value
3) Press "N" (Note input mode)

Result: nothing happens.

You have to click on "N" in the toolbar to enable Note input mode (or, as mentioned above, first click anywhere onto the score.)

Did I miss something? Is this the "normal" behavior, or not (my feeling)?

Ok, understood (my confusion)
The "click" is equivalent of "Escape" for leave the input (cursor) in the zoom value box.
So, by design I guess (or simply "normal" behavior -> "closed" State)
