Instrument groups

Hi all,
I´m just starting with MuseScore and couldn´t find anything with Search or Getting Started: how do I create an instrument group, e.g. barlines connected vertically for all strings in an orchestral score?

If you start with one of the predefined templates like the ones for various types of orchestras, this is all set up for you, no need to do anything to make it happen. Or if you are creating music for a custom ensemble that you intend to write more than one piece for, you can save your score as a template (in your Templates folder) and then that will be available next time you create a new score.

Be also aware about the possibility to select a bar line, right click -> select -> all similar elements in the same staff and changing the number of spanned staffs in the inspector.

Thank you all. I suddenly found myself working on a cruise ship with no notation software and having to write arrangements for band + strings and backing vocs - I´m impressed with the quality of this programme, which has basically saved me from days of pencil and paper stuff.

So next question - if I want to copy just the chord symbols from say bass git to RH keyboard, how do I do it? If I turn off voice 1 in the filter selection for copy + paste it won´t work, and if I leave it turned on I obviously get the bass line copied as well.
