Some pauses (railroad tracks) I enter don't stay where I put them. I'll enter them on the last note of the measure, the pause appears AFTER that last note, I save the score, but when I go back to it later, the pause has moved to just BEFORE the last note of the measure. What am I doing wrong or is this a known bug?

If you don't know whether it is a bug or your wrong usage, chances are that you'd better use the Forum rather than the issue tracker ;-)
And if it is a know bug, it would be in the issue tracker already
Please don't assign an Issue to yourself, unless you plan to provide the fix...

What version of MuseScore, which OS, can you post the the score showing the problem?

Also explain how you are adding the marking. A common mistake is to just place them anywhere then drag them into position, and that sort of manually positioning indeed won't generally look right if the score is laid out differently later. So it's important to make sure the marking is actually attached to the note you intend it to be attached to.

I have looked a bit into this issue and the problem is that the breath is dropped on the second voice. Currently breath (and other markings) can not exist in different voices (besides the first voice of a staff). So when the breath is dropped on a note in the second voice it gets the default voice. And then when the staff is saved and reloaded the breath is "attached" to the nearest note in the default voice. See attachment.

Question: Should it be possible to add other elements beside chordrests to other voices than the default?
