Articulations: "Anchor" is greyed-out in the Inspector
2.0.3 / Win 7/10
Originally reported here: https://musescore.org/en/node/137136.
When you click on any articulation in the score, every "Anchor" option in the Inspector is greyed out, giving the impression that it cannot be edited. In fact, it can be edited. Changing the Anchor option causes all the options to turn from from grey to black.
Another anchor-related issue at #152131: Anchor position of articulations set wrongly: requires score reload to correct.

I can confirm the same for 2.1
Isn't this just how we always show values that are dependent on style settings? It hasn't been a popular choice and could be revisited, but as far as I know it *is* by design.
If so, it is not done consistently. Check for example dynamics or any text, their offsets are not greyed out even of at style setting. Also check crescendo, volta, hairpin line style, not disabled.
As far as I can see it is only articulations, pedal- and ottava lines.
Greying out an option tells users that it is not available for editing. But "Anchor" is, and needs to be, editable.
I agree. Same for pedal and ottave lines' line style settings.
Graying out is also how we indicate a setting is controlled by a *general* style setting. Text offsets are different.
As I said, one could question this design decision, but when the matter has come up before, it's always come back to this. Feel free to start a thread and propose an alternate design on the technology preview forum. Maybe with the changes to the Inspector for 3.0, Werner will be more likely to entertain changes to this as well.
it is done nowehere else in inspector with the few exceptions listed here, that much can't be by design really. But evein if, that'd make this a feature request.
Mind to point at the previous discussions you mentioned?
And we're talking about 2.x, not about whatever might have changed in master
Again, this *is* by design, for 2.x. See for example #46186: Inspector / Beam / Horizontal greyed out or #36451: Ottava: properties "Line style" and "Line width" grayed out or do a search for the terms "inspector" and "styled".
Feel free to open a discussion and suggest an alternate design as I suggested - it's worth considering for sure I think. And if you see some other setting you feel should be grayed out according to this design but currently is not, feel free to file a bug report on that. But this particular setting is working as it should be, so please leave this closed.
