FWIW, this is kind of conceptually similar to #78361: Custom text not reflecting in parts right after changing the style. It's possible a single fix would address both cases in the sense of preventing the crash. Probably separate but related fixes -
perhaps a new function in the code used in two different places - would be required to actually do what the user expects. In any case, probably worth looking at these together.
For "Title", there is a style setting in the first document; and there is another style setting in the second document.
is it (crash) because of two different definitions for the same style?
Album feature is going to be disabled in first versions of MuseScore 3.0 until we finish complete reworking. Once it is done, Album feature will be able to unite independent scores of different configurations.
