YOU TUBE MALFUNCTION

the SEND TO YOU TUBE OPTION FROM MS.COM IS NOT WORKING. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE YESTERDAY. I HAVE TRIED NUMEROUS TIMES TO SEND A SCORE TO YOU TUBE. NON OF THEM HAVE SHOWED UP YET THERE.

You need a little more patience: your first post was 16:37 and you contacted MS.com only after this. Your last post is at 23:14, so you expect people in Europe (France/Belgium/Germany) to respond between like 18:00 and 23:00!? That is after work for most normal people. Wait until tomorrow before you start wondering if anybody is home!

Hello Louis,
I did reply to your comment yesterday, I thought on MS.com?! But since I don't see my reply to you here, I'll repeat: I am sorry, I did not realize that the support team I was wanting to talk to was in Europe! I thought they were mostly Americans like me. My apologies. Also I did not know that MS.org Forum does not handle MS.com problems.

No worries, now you know for next time ;-) I use 24 hours as an unofficial rule of thumb for a reasonable response window, since I know the guys who should do something about my request must be awake some time during the next 24 hours, regardless of their actual geographic location.

Thank you for informing me. And I did not know about this. A momentous step for Musescore! ! Which will affect all of us MS users--Hope you are right that it will be in a beneficial way. The thought that our scores and work on MS could ever be in jeopardy or not continued/accessed would be a frightening thought.
Just thought of something else--if Ultimate Guitar has now taken over, is this why the You Tube option is not working? Are the MS support teams still fully functional?

For the record, it works here. Not from the page "Score manager", but from the score itself (when it's fully displayed and ready to launch playback)
From here, click to the right on the vertical three points -> Send to YouTube.
I received an email a few seconds after, and the scores (I tried with two) are on YT

I tried BOTH ways. I sent to YT from score manager, which brought up the score ready for playback, etc. and then it said the video of your score is being processed but it never appeared on YT! So I have tried k:BOTH ways, from Score Manager, and from the score displayed and ready for ation. I have a choral conductor waiting in San Diego for my YT score to consider my piece for next Holiday season. Very frustrating!

However it seems to have some hiccups.
If its fails the first time (click on the three points -> Send to YouTube in the dropdown list -> confirm Send to YouTube on the blue tab at the bottom, and if nothing happens), I click again on the three points -> Send to YouTube (dropdown list), and the process is now engaged.

A puzzling thing--When you click on the 3 dots and click send to YT, a message appears, your score has been sent to YT, etc. So then you wonder why is the blue Send to YT there at the bottom? As a sort of confirmation? IF so why does the top message say it's already been sent? Anyway, no matter how I do it, it does NOT work!

No, butt I did contact support at MS.com about it. I was told to be patient. I figured the other link "improving" etc. would be some long discussion about MS that probably did not have much to do with my problem. Just now I tried disconnecting my YT channel from MS.com and then reconnecting again, but it made no difference. Also deleted the original score on MS.com and reuploaded my score, but that made no difference either. I'm wondering if I could contact Thomas Bonte (last name?) Wasn't he the CEO of former MS? I don't know what is going on now with Ultimate Guitar.

I can't find that comment from your link. It goes to another thread that is about a problem connecting to YT all right, but it's just about disconnecting and then reconnecting MS from one's YT channel. I've tried that many times--did not work.( Your link took me to Comment 821463 by Shoichi)

Anyone : So, How do I find MS.org/en/node/273419 Comment 840120 to follow the advice there? (I don't even know what a "node" is. The link from Thomas did not take me there, as I explained above.

i finally figured out that IS he right comment that Thomas meant. I have tried disconnecting MS from You Tube then reconnecting several times, and it DOES NOT WORK. Not in my case at least, though it worked OK for Ronan, apparently. So at this point, I have no idea what to do or if anybody at MS can think of something else to try. I do not want to be without the You Tube option working. It is so much faster than trying to get someone to download MS first and then listen to/see your score. So it is a VERY important MS option to have working for you!! It should work. It always did work for me before, but not since june 21.

To MS Teams/Officials: I have tried disconnecting MS from You Tube and then reconnecting many times. It makes no difference. Since I have not gotten any other answers or help on this, it seems MS is not interested in checking out and fixing whatever their technical problem is on this. i have a late model Dell Inspiron and Windows 10. The problem is not on my end. Does anyone have any further ideas?

For the Record: i tried restarting my computer,and my Router. Also, even tried the whole process from CHrome Sending to You Tube from MS.com still did not work. I decided to try disconnecting etc. again, but now it won't even do that. When I click on Send to You Tube, I just get a message on the screen that says YOUR SCORE HAS BEEN SENT TO YOU TUBE tHE VIDEO IS NOW BEING CREATED. Trouble is that doesn't happen, and the message would just last for hours if you let it.So now I can't even try DISCONNECTING again. SO now what am I supposed to do?

OK, Thanks for doing that! But this is all the more puzzling, since I have checked and rechecked my You Tube account/ my channel, and it shows NO new videos added since 2 weeks ago. I did find something I thought was odd, 27 deleted videos. When I clicked on Play All from my channel, These videos appeared as "Pumpkin -Head-looking things, until I clicked on them on a message came up on the screen from YT saying, "This video is a duplicate of a previously uploaded video". (THen it would play it.) This is confusing. Do you know, if you have a video with the same title, even though it's one you have made corrections on in MS and then sent from MS.com to YT, does YT think it's just a duplicate,just because the title is the same? It's hard to get any help from YT. I went on their Help Center and left info on the problem I have been having, never got any reply.( In my channel, I have 2 or 3 Anasazi titles and @ Holy CHilds, and YT did not delete them for having the same title I don't know if YT reads sub titles, etc)

If all those videos made it up to my You Tube Account, why aren't aren't they in my Channel? Nothing has been added to My Channel for two weeks now. i simply do not understand that.
