Where notes are tied together, (usually) only the first note strikes. Notes tied to the first note add duration for the sound to be sustained...

When notes tied together are selected (sometimes automatically by MuseScore) and an accent is added, MuseScore sometimes adds the same accent to each and every every tied notehead, rather than just the first, (which users are more likely to expect).

It might be good if a default setting could be made, so that accents are only applied to the first note of the tied set. This would save users from having to delete redundant accents...

Of course held notes can be pulsed, - so it needs to be possible for accents to be positioned on any tied (held) note too, if needs be.

Thanks for all your hard work guys. MuseScore is terrific.

I've thought of this too from time to time. Not just accents of course, but probably all articulations. Perhaps even all palette items period? That would simplify implementation for sure. As long as there remains a way to apply to tied notes when needed. Like, exclude tied-back notes when applying to range selections, but not list selections.
