In this file make sure you are in continuous view.
Copy measure 5 to 9 from Oboe 1 to Oboe 2.
Change the last note pasted (I changed it from A-natural to A- flat then back to A-natural since this is how I initially found the issue).
Select Measure 9 in Oboe 2.
Move the mouse just below measure 5 (so you will miss selecting it) and press shift and left click.
Crash!
I tried creating it from scratch, but I'm not use if invisible instruments are involved.

OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.0.0, revision: 0128daf
Steps from scratch:
1) Default "Untitled" score -> Toggle in Continuous View
2) Measure 2: enter a note + slur
3) Change pitch of this note (eg a tone) with up arrow
4) Exit note input mode
5) Select measure 2
6) Escape
Result: crash
With the test file: slur continuous.mscz
1) Select the C
2) Up arrow
3) Select measure 2
4) Escape
---> Crash
Is this still actual? I cannot reproduce the crash as for 6ad7396
Fixed since a few days. From what I see, probably here: https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/commit/3fdfab33f4eed704fc976beb0…
