Two time signatures
Could someone please explain why the time signature in measure 67 appears twice, and how I can get rid of one? If I highlight and delete the first one nothing happens, and if I highlight and delete the second one both time signatures are deleted and the measure is changed to 2/4.

You mean measure 67. I've had this happen and can't figure it out either.

Yes, sorry, measure 67 (I've updated the post.)
It could be #286794: Permanent double time signature/key signature after style changed then save/reload

I read all that but I still can't figure out how to fix it.
I don't think this issue should be considered closed.
Can anyone advise on how to get rid of the extra time signature in the sample I posted?

I should have explained, the fix will be included in the next version (3.1) when it's released in a couple of weeks. That is what the green highlight with a line through it means.

And in the 3.1 Beta already ;-)

I can use the inspector to make the first time signature invisible, or I can put a page break in to turn the first time signature into a regular courtesy time signature before the page break. But these are ugly kludges. Does anyone have a way to just get rid of one of the time signatures?

"a way to just get rid of one of the time signatures?"
1) Menu "Format" -> Style -> Page -> Untick "Create courtesy time signatures" -> Ok
2) Save -> Exit -> Reload
3) Redo step#1 for ticking again "Create courtesy time signatures" -> Ok

For the record, "closed" in the issue tracker means, the fix is implemented and will be in the next update. That allows us developers to know which issues still need our attention and which don't.

The current status is fixed, which also means it will be included in the next update, but there is a 2 week comment period before a fixed issue is automatically closed.
