File.mscz causes crash on load

• May 6, 2019 - 01:25

My file causes musescore to crash every time I try to open it. I am using the most recent version of musescore (3.0.5) and running musescore on a mac.

I have the same problem (I think)... latest version Musescore 3 crashes on opening, gives message "The previous session quit unexpectedly. Restore session?". Replying either yes or no makes no difference, the program crashes. This happened even after uninstalling + deleting every register entry I could find and then reinstalling. As of now Musecore 3 is completely unusable. Anything I can do to rectify the situation?

I have the same problem. I worked on a score, musescore crashes after I printed a voice, after that my file isn’t loadable any more. Musescore 3.1 crashes immidiately, when I try to open this file. Without any alerts.
I would apologize, if you would repair my file. It is located here:

I tried to reinstall musescore. My system:
macOS High Sierra (10.13), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.1.0.22425, revision: e26f7c4

Thanks a lot.
I tried again, and again work is lost. If you don’t mind, could you please repair this one too?

How often must I expect to loose work. Is there something I can follow?
Constantly being afraid of loosing work and permanently making backups is a unfortunate situation.
(I had this bug often in the past).

Thank you!
BTW: I love Musescore, the whole concept and the easy to use interface.
I recommend to repair this bug very soon.

Best Regards and thank you for the immediate help!

(hope my englisch is not too bad).

To reproduce it the best way is to describe the precise steps, they occur the crash. When I open your score from terminal I get the output after the crash:

"Element::readProperties: linked elements have different types: BarLine, Chord. Input file corrupted?
Element::readProperties: could not link BarLine at staff 3"

So which last things you changed in your score? Check if it's the same, if you make these changes with extracted parts and without extracted parts and save your score. (and so on...)

Hard to say…
last time I inserted a Guitar diagram and Musescore crashed.
With the score mentioned, I did a print of score. As I returned from my printer, Musescore was off and reload fails. I can’t reproduce this, it's nebulous on my side, sorry.

Hi

I'm having same issue. It happened when I copied (or cut, I forget) a bar or two of notes and pasted them into a bar that was a combined bar of several bars of rests.

Would someone help me uncorrupt the file, as I'd hate to lose all the time I've put in.

Thanks

EDIT

I had already tried reinstalling from my initial download I made last week 3.2.3 and it didn't work. I've just tried downloading the latest version and it works now. Please ignore!
