The Japanese translations is being worked on as we speak, there seems to have been a major glitch, a non-native speaker having done some bad translations, which are in the process of being recovered now.
The display of the “set as style button” of “Inspector” is strange.

Translating a single "S" with multiple characters is not the best idea anyhow? There's also a toolTip, which can hold a longer string
OK, the Japanese translators team decided to keep "S" and not translate it at all.
The Russian translators too BTW, and for German it isn't an issue as "S" stands for the German "Stil"

And what do you find strange about it? IMHO it looks better in 3.1 (Beta) than in 3.0.5
It is a change, for sure, but calling it a regressions is not the right thing IMHO

In Japanese, it should be "設定する", but it is "定す".
Only 1.5 characters are displayed.
This is not Japanese.
It must be able to display 4 characters.

Isn't it not enough to accommodate four characters?
it shows less characters in the Inspector than the translation does have? Also when widening the Inspector?

This does not change even if the width is expanded.
